A security deposit is required for every rental. 

The deposit works much like when you check into a hotel or rent a car. It is not an additional rental fee. 

When you place your order, an additional amount is temporarily authorised on your payment card as security against significant damage, loss, or late return. 

The deposit amount depends on the product you're renting and the length of your rental. You'll always see the exact deposit amount during checkout before completing your booking. 

Once your rental has been returned and successfully inspected, the deposit authorisation will automatically be released if no additional charges apply. You don't need to do anything.
