What if the confirmed price is higher than the estimate?Updated 9 days ago
Here’s how the process works:
- We start by giving you an initial estimate based on the information you provide to us when registering your repair.
- Next, we review your selection, the details you provide, and the photos of the issue.
- Based on this, we conduct a pre-assessment and either confirm the original estimate or adjust it if more work is needed.
The more accurate your description and the more detailed your photos, the more likely it is that our pre-assessment price will hold.
To help with this, we’ve created a Self-Assessment Guide. It walks you through the key details to include when describing your issue and shows you how to take the right kind of photos so our team can make an accurate assessment.
You’ll find the guide when logging your repair.
Once you approve the confirmed cost and make the payment, you’ll receive a shipping label and can send in your item.
When we receive your item, we perform a physical inspection.
- If the item’s condition matches your description, no additional costs will be added.
- If it doesn’t match due to undisclosed damage or differing conditions, we’ll contact you about additional charges required to complete a high-quality, lasting repair.
At that point, you can choose to proceed with the updated cost or cancel the repair.
If you cancel, we’ll deduct shipping, admin, and assessment fees from the amount you paid and refund the remaining balance.
